 The title “ And She Cried me a River”, references the siren of Napoli, Parthenope, who legend has it cried so much after being unable to win over Odysseus’ heart that she created the sea around Naples so drowning herself in a sea of her own tears. T
 The tear drop at times also looks like drops of blood, sweat or sperm suggesting some kind of collective toil.  Each bead felt like an invocation, casting a spell during its making, setting an intention and putting it out into the world and the neck
